My Approach to the Work.
Dr. Elisabeth Morray
My work is grounded in evidence-based psychotherapy and coaching, with a particular foundation in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and psychological flexibility — developing the ability to remain present with difficult experiences while moving toward a life aligned with what matters most.
Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, I am interested in helping people build the internal capacity to navigate change, complexity, and the ordinary difficulty of being a person. That means working with thoughts and feelings as experiences to be met, not problems to be eliminated.
Meaningful change is not about becoming someone else. It is about learning how to return to yourself.
In practice, this looks like slowing down enough to notice the patterns we have inherited and rehearsed, making room for what we have been carrying, and choosing — with as much clarity as possible — what we want to move toward.
I believe deeply that expertise matters. So does being human. The work I do tries to honor both.
